It's a great load. But, nobody should rely on load data given on a discussion web as gospel. They should go by the loading manual or call the powder manufacturer if an unlisted substitution is considered.Mar 9, 2008 · Exactly the same. The overall height is about 1/16" shorter than the CB0178-12, but that doesn't matter. The XXL Pink's petals stand straight, whereas those of the CB0178-12 are flared out a bit, still no big deal. Flip a coin or go for the cheapest - either is an excellent wad, especially for 3/4 and 11/16 oz. payloads.

Used the Claybuster gray (CB0178-12) for thousands of 7/8 ounce loads, and with pink (CB0175-12) wads I've loaded a ton of 3/4 ounce cowboy loads with 14 to 15 grains of Clay Dot. Hodgdon lists separate data for the two also. If you look at the data, the Claybuster gives a lower pressure for the same amount of powder. If Hodgdon didn't specifically have Claybuster data it would be safe to use the WAA12sl data fot the CB 1100-12 per the instructions from Claybuster.Gender:Male. Location:NE Georgia.
