Very dilated, but not in labor. I'm posting to get any advice or find others with a similar experience that can help me understand. I am 38 weeks today. at my appointment last week, my OB said I was 3cm/70 effaced. Today she checked and said I'm now 5cm/80% effaced. I am having some very mild and irregular contractions with pretty constant ...c. cafisch2018. Gradually it opens from 3cm to 6cms at the rate of 1cm per hour. But the actual dilation will be different for different pregnancies. This is the longest part of labor which can take a few hours to a few days time.
