Our re-view is primarily motivated by the recent emergence and increasing use of the a particular kind of “program” in applied microeconomic research, the so-called Regression Discontinuity (RD) Design of Thistlethwaite and Campbell (1960). We have provided an evaluation model that could be duplicated by EFNEP, Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE), and 5-A-Day Power Play in other states and territories interested in documenting program impacts using a research quality design.
