Field Station: Dinosaurs is a world-class family attraction that combines cutting-edge science with the creative minds of great artists to create a one-of-kind experience that’s thrilling, educational and fun. The Field Station is a wild scientific expedition just 10 minutes south of Wichita on Rock Road in Derby.

Founded in 1947, the KU Field Station has grown to 3,300 acres across three sites and is open to researchers everywhere. Just 20 minutes from main campus, the 1,650-acre core research area is open to the entire KU community for study in any subject. Learn more. Ecology Seminars hosted by the Kansas Biological Survey & Center for Ecological Research are held on most Fridays during the spring and fall semesters at 12:15 p.m. in 130 Takeru Higuchi Hall on KU's West Campus (please note that KU parking permits are required). During the spring 2023 semester, all talks will be hybrid unless otherwise noted.
