I didn't want a basic Springfield and wanted a forged reciever, completely unaware that LRB was a thing at that time. I knew of Fulton, Springfield, Bula, Norinco, and James River.No reason to get a BM-59 vs. M1A unless you are into collecting one. There are some great choices for M1A's / M14's and though more involved than an AR, you can build your own tackdriver. The JRA's must have been a big hit the BM59s where $1050 not long ago and IIRC the JRA M1a is a cast receiver for those that care.The 12 month average price is $1,270.09 new and $1,181.09 used.
