Implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12 dpo, but most commonly 8- 9- or 10- (vast majority fall in this range) then it takes approximately 24 hours for hcg to rise enough to get a positive test so it is absolutely possible to test negative at 10 DPO and then test positive a day or two later.Implantation most commonly happens at 9 dpo and it takes a couple days for HCG levels to rise enough. It could even happen at 10 dpo, which is why 12 dpo is recommended. Even then, there's still a possibility until aunt flow arrives. Testing early, if you're anxious, I've found does not help.
