A 280e or 280se from the 70s would be a good thing to find. An M103 motor would work as well, but you'll have to plumb lots of wiring.Plenty of people have done this swap already. It requires swapping out the 2.47 input flange to the 2.88 sized unit. Acceleration is slower but people have reported it is not bad and the shift points are extended. So it stays in each gear a little longer. All in all it is a good swap for one who does a lot of highway driving. .
