Jun 5, 2020. #1. i bought a new 301 cc predator from harbor freight.first thing i did was remove the governor before breaking it in.right away it was loud clicking and knocking.i dont think it is due to removing governor that seemed to go smoothly it ran ok just real noisy..after 30 minutes i drained the oil and pulled the side cover back off ...For 301 cc, the same 3/8″ – 24 bolts used in 420cc will work fine.
