The Ford 3000 that I have on the farm had a problem with the power steering. There is one small leak but it is very minimal, but I seem to keep losing the oil. I took the pump off and disassembled it. Aug 21, 2021. #1. I am going to replace the thermostat in my 3000 when I flush it out. The I & T shop manual says use a 188 degree thermostat with 7psi radiator cap. The book also says I can go with a 160,168, or 178 degree thermostat but 188 is recommended. YT sells a 168 and 172 thermostat with a 13psi radiator cap.Ttrying to figure out why my 3000 Ford tractor will not start.
