I do not recommend a bottomless portafilter for barista express. I bought one used it a couple of times before realizing that the machine is not built for that. Due to high pump pressure you have to grind ultra fine to get a decent extraction that doesn't taste better. Otherwise you get a nice coffee spray all over the place.
