Tuesday I took the day off of work and changed the VTM-4 fluid and transmission fluid. It had been about 40k on the transmission, and I had never personally changed the VTM-4 fluid; had the truck for 41k miles. The VTM-4 fluid looked pretty bright red when I changed it. Nothing surprising and not much in the way of metal shavings on the drain bolt.The Check Engine light comes on with P0300 random/mutiple cyl. misfire detected along with P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306 and the VTM-4 light comes on. The engine has a miss while idling and driving until the transmission goes into 2nd gear. After 2nd gear the miss goes away. I have changed out the spark plugs, and the EGR valve.The AWD equipped 2011 Honda Pilot is also supplied with warning systems should its sensors detect an issue related to its function and traction control.
