Now, they lose about 20% between uses and die quickly. For the Megaboom though, I found a way to turn off remote power mode. I was able to reinstall the old app on android by googling Megaboom app from the homescreen and finding it under apps. Found that if stop the music on phone, then turn UE boom off, then turn it back on and restart the music it will work just as normal. If that doesn't work turn your Bluetooth off on your phone ( or just restart it).
