If you buy a quart and change with every oil change that's 7 - 8 changes if you don't spill any. For me as a 32 year professional mechanic I call it cheap insurance.3. Drop the forks and fender out as a complete unit. 4. Remove the caps. 5. Dump both tubes over buckets and let them drain overnight. 6. Flush with 5-weight fork oil (one bottle total - half in each tube). Pump the forks with the 5-weight in there several times, and then dump again and let drain for awhile.Replace the drain plugs, making sure they have their respective crush washers.
