With the V5 cup, I think a pearl is almost a necessity. It needs something to dig out the oil that gets trapped in the corners. The secret, I've discovered, is to shake the pearl around while dabbing. The Core 2 carb cab spins a pearl and the center of the cup can start to overcook.
